About This Spot

Stepping into Harbour Fish Restaurant feels like finding a tucked-away corner of Peru right on a bustling stretch of Mamaroneck Avenue. The moment you walk in, there’s a warm hum of conversation and the gentle clinking of glasses, all framed by inviting wooden accents and a layout that balances intimacy with room to breathe. It’s the kind of spot where the pace naturally slows, letting you settle into the rhythms of a shared meal and the company around you.

This is a relaxed neighborhood restaurant that carries the promise of something genuine. The atmosphere is both unpretentious and thoughtfully curated — a space that draws in families, friends, and anyone curious about the flavors of Peruvian coastal cuisine without feeling overwhelming or flashy. Despite its larger footprint, the restaurant manages to hold onto a cozy sense of welcome, subtly inviting diners to linger over conversations and savor each bite.

The menu is a journey through comforting, fresh, and vibrant dishes shaped by Peru’s rich culinary traditions. Whether it's the crisp freshness of ceviche, the soulful warmth of tallarines saltados, or the unexpected delight of a well-crafted lobster roll, the flavors come together with a lively balance of brightness and depth. The thoughtful care in every plate is easy to feel in both the generous portions and the intricate layering of familiar and exotic tastes. Traditional touches like chicha morada and classic sides add authenticity, enhancing the overall experience rather than just complementing the main dishes.

Visitors often appreciate how the team here quietly moves with purpose, attentive without being intrusive, creating a space where guests feel seen and cared for. Though parking nearby can require a bit of patience, the journey is worth it for a meal that offers a sincere taste of Peru with a distinctly local vibe. Harbour Fish feels like a well-kept secret shared among friends, waiting for more people to discover not just for the food, but for the moments it inspires around the table.

The food was flavorful. The plating was also quite nice. The portions were generous. The service was ok, but the staff was friendly. The seating arrangement was good as well. The staff worked quickly to accommodate our party of 8. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. Just be aware about parking as it might be tough to find a spot, but definitely worth the trip.

Came here on a whim on a Saturday night and it was a pleasant experience. Got the trio plate which came with rice, ceviche, and fried fish. Food was tasty, and the portion seemed reasonable for 37$. Place was cozy for such a large building, and it filled up fast. Very authentic experience, and service was good. Definitely planning on coming again to try more Peruvian cuisine.

Went here with the family not really sure what to expect but it turned out wonderful and delicious. Food was hot and tasty with ample portions. Prices seemed a little high but the quality and portion size justified it. We will definitely go back and I would highly recommend it being a chef myself.

Craving Oysters and just picked this place on a whim to try when I googled fresh oysters. Drove by it a million times and never noticed since it’s not on the busy Mamaroneck strip. It actually has additional parking in back. I would call this a hidden gem because you can easily overlook it due to the location and lack of curb presence. We had the Prix Fixe menu which was quite good value for three courses. Oysters were great. We finished it too quickly before I remembered to take pictures. My Snapper was fantastic. The Branzino was very good but should have ordered the whole fish rather than fillet. The rum cake was delicious and reminded me of Tres Leche instead of the Caribbean variety. Cheesecake was excellent and better than the key lime. The latter a bit too sweet where as we preferred a sharper lime taste. They brought us the wrong one so we got to try both. There is a Latin flavor to the dishes and not your typical southern deep fried seafood shack. It’s clean and pleasant but a bit of thoughtful decorations might give it more atmosphere. The owners can either try more festive or more romantic. Not sure which way I would go. The food and service are definitely excellent. Will come back again.

It is a pleasure to recommend this place, the food is very delicious and fresh, very good Peruvian seasoning. The rice with chicken, ceviche, stuffed potatoes, all very delicious, the service client is very good. Without a doubt one of the best places to eat Peruvian food.

Harbour Fish in Mamaroneck is an absolute gem! The food is outstanding—fresh seafood and meats prepared with Peruvian influences that make every dish burst with flavor. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making you feel right at home. And don’t get me started on the desserts—they're all great! It’s a very casual spot with a relaxed vibe, ideal for small groups or a low-key dinner with friends. Bonus: they make some of the best pisco sours I’ve ever had—perfectly balanced and refreshing. Highly recommend! We’ll be back soon.

If you are looking for authentic Peruvian food, then look no further. The food tastes like your Peruvian family member just made it. It is fresh, so delicious and very filling. They do not hold back on portions and you get the bang for your buck. Please do yourself a favor and try it out!
